Let us handle all your metadata with Bulk AI meta generation
Let's be honest: filling in article descriptions, short versions, and tags is the brussels sprouts of knowledge base work. Good for you, slightly joyless, and somehow always still on the to-do list.
So we taught HelpDocs AI to do it in bulk. Here's how to use it:
- Head to your Content page and check the articles you want to edit
- Hit Bulk edit → Actions tab → Generate AI metadata
- Let AI handle the descriptions, short versions, and tags for as many articles as you like in one go
There's also a handy overwrite toggle: leave it off to only fill in the blanks (great when you don't fancy checking every single article), or switch it on to refresh everything.
This feature is superb for filling in the gaps across older articles, polishing up a collection before launch, or finally clearing that backlog you've been politely ignoring since last summer 😎
A few quick notes:
- This uses AI credits based on how much metadata you're generating, so you stay in control of the spend
- You'll need HelpDocs AI on your plan
- Make sure to enable "Generate article metadata" in your AI settings
Now go enjoy your afternoon. The metadata's handled.
